Results....the work is worth it...

I was reading an old magazine when I came across this poem.

Results and Roses by Edgar A. Guest
The man who wants a garden fair,
Or small or very big,
With flowers growing here and there,
Must bend his back and dig.
The things are mighty few on earth
That wishes can attain.
Whate'er we want of any worth
We've got to work to gain.
It matters not what goal you seek
Its secret here reposes:
You've got to dig from week to week
To get Results or Roses.

I want results again.
I have results throughout my house.
Now I want results in my body again.
lol.
It's always something.
I can't believe gaining a few pounds makes me feel this flabby.
Makes you wonder how I gained over 100.
Time and space I guess.
I took a three and a half mile walk today and have decided to hit the gym at least five days a week and walk on Saturdays
Have a great night guys,
Hugs,

Chris

Yes, this is work. You are wise to get right on this gain before it goes any further. It will just increase the amount of work you have to do.

Amen. lol. It's better to lose 3 or 4 than 30 or 40.

So true. Have to work to get results! And some results aren't seen until MUCH later and that's what can be discouraging. But worth it. Good job walking... you are kickin' it girl! ;)

Yes, it's a much better 'normal' to want to get back into gear right away after a small gain. Shows how much you really have changed.
Thanks for sharing this so we can all see what it means to keep things in check and enjoy true moderation.
I really like the concept that I can always get right back on track without having to feel like I have somehow failed. Instead it is nice to know that this is how it's done successfully long term.

Great poem! I hate that it does take so much work but at least we are all in this together. Once again you have have reminded me of the reality of my situation. If I want a rose garden I have to put in the work!

Loved the poem! I'm finally feeling fat again after losing 63 pounds. Now, I'm not satisfied with this weight, ready to go to the next level!! Got a lot to go!

Way to go on the walk. Keep it up and stay focused!
