The most shallow post in the history of blog posts....

well howdy all,
I have been th inking lately that it is hard to summon enthusiasm for the day in and day out of weight loss.
I have been doing it for a while.
A long while.
I am relatively healthy.
relatively thin.
Relatively happy.
I still have about 20 lbs to lose.
Yeah.
Not there.
But not uncomfortable.
So how do I shift it into high gear.
After a certian point...all the heavy duty lifting is done.
I have cleaned my chicken coop.
fixed my mental deformities...and dealt with the rest.
I am happy.
So How do I get up the gumption to get a smaller rear?
Well folks..
There is only one reason to do it.
to look hot.
or HAWT.
lol
The last 20 pounds are vanity pounds.
Oh, I know I am 'overweight"...
but my bloodpressure is fine...I can exercise an hour a day..do 100 situps.
I lift.
There is nothing left but the superficial pride in having a smaller @ss.
It's just that simple.
So fine.
Superficial it is..
I am calling this  "Project Hawtification'.
(Or Hottification as deliberate misspellings irritate me.)
Over the next six months I will be taking my measurements...my weight....and everything else..
and I will be trying to make it look better.
That's it.
No deep seated meaning other than..."How does my rear look in these pants?"
Is my skin clean and shiny?
Do my teeth blind you?
lol.
Every day I will focus on proper nutrition...exercise....and finding what shapes and colors suit me.
I have never bothered really till now.
That stuff kids figure out in high school...
What haircut looks best.
What colors.
What suits them.
Well...By the time my 38th birthday rolls around...I want to look the best I've ever looked.
Then we will see what I do from there.
Will it be fun?
I am sure it will be.
Fulfilling?
um...lol.
Probably not...
But every once in a while..it's okay to just have fun.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to look hawt! (hot) ;-)
Have fun!

You go, girl. Get that junk out of the trunk in your youth.

In 20 years, you'll convince yourself that all you care about is health. :} For now, hit it while you can.

We want before and after pics--in a bikini.

@ Deb,
I have never in my life owned a bikini. lol. And with my current loose skin probably not going to happen.. I may don an exercise bra and stretchy shorts...that should be interesting. lol.

You go girl! I lost a lot of my butt and my hubs misses it! Go figure! I sure don't, tho! It's more about how one feels that what someone else thinks. Yaw!

I love the post! You deserve to look hot, hawt and daaaang good! (You are really doing preventive maintenance on the middle age spread and smile lines.)

Nothing puts a pep in my step when somebody insists I can't really be 40 something and a mother of seven.

Oh, and I'm a week into a challenge to lose those last 10 (started out as a regained 20 lbs) vanity pounds. I have size 2 jeans and I HAVE to get back into them.

Maybe it's not a bad idea to experiment with a little more freedom and see how it goes. The loss will be slower but since you are pretty much satisfied, why not? Just be careful - we all know what can happen. I would weigh a little more often because you might need the feedback to determine how to find your way through the murky waters on the way to hawt!

Sounds like a great plan to me Chris :) Good post though and so very true that the last lbs are more about appearance. I'm here rooting ya on!

Not so shallow really it seems to me, just fun to be experimenting. I hope maybe I can join you in this drive as I too am comfortable being 5 lbs. over the BMI charts. I do everything physical with ease now. Didn't realize how much easier things would be as I felt pretty healthy and strong before so who knows, might be fun to see what this bod could do with a little less and some more drive!

Chris, I am right there with you. I want to lose 20 final pounds as well. My goal is a size 10. I have been dragging this out and going up and down on the same few pounds for awhile. I want to knock this out now!

I too, want to work on my Hawtness/hotness!

Anxious to keep reading and seeing what you're learning/doing.

I don't think wanting to look hot is shallow at all! It's important!

I want to be able to pull it off, but it will have to be fully clothed. Naked will be a different story, I'm afraid!

Good luck! And thanks for being so supportive... I really appreciate it.
