Becoming the person you want to be...part 1

I am giving up coffee.
This is as big as it sounds.
starting tomorrow I will be drinking tea...herbal tea.
Why?
I don't know...
Yesterday, I was driving in my van, and looked down and thought.
I am done with coffee.
I think it makes me want to eat.
I have insomnia.
I don't know if it is the caffiene or what...
But the thought went through my head.
I am giving up coffee.
And I didn't even feel a pang.
None.
No panic, no wondering.
I asked my oldest daughter "If you could wake up tomorrow and have the perfect day...what would it look like."
And she told me.
Now I am going to ask me the same question.
And figure it out.
A lot of things were taken from me when Iwas small...
and I don't know where I got the idea that I couldn't create the life I didn't have then, now.
But obviously I bought into it...the idea that for some things it is 'too late'.

You can start anytime, anywhere.
So I am starting tomorrow.
Hugs,
Chris out.

Fresh starts, new beginnings and wiping the slate clean is the theme for a lot of recent blog posts and I'm joining in, too.

Wishing you lots of success!

We limit ourselves with thinking that we are too old, too heavy, too this or too that. All things we can do to make us and our lives better should be done ASAP not at some magical time in the future that never comes. We talk ourselves into believing that now is not the right time but it is. We can all look back and wish we had made improvements sooner - that should be all we need to act on our gut feelings that are often very reliable sources of information. That was your spirit talking to you. I say "listen".

Hopefully you find a big difference in your sleep patterns!

Good luck!

I am right with you Christine. I have been pondering the same question and wondering what I need to do to actually start living that life.

Hope the headaches aren't too horrible as you give up the coffee!

Good for you! The mere fact that you will have headaches for a few days (shouldn't be more than 2 or 3) only confirms that poison is leaving your body. You may also feel tired, but it's because your adrenals aren't being artificially stimulated anymore. When it's over you'll feel great, and you will feel much more in touch with your body.

It is never too late to have the life we want. So true.

I am impressed with your giving up caffeine! I don't think I'm ready for that yet, but yesterday I made a pledge to give up sugar for 30 days. Something about the changing seasons makes me want to change too.

So true, guess I better get going then! Good luck with the no-coffee.

Checking in on your coffee-free days...
All is well! After the first 3 days,
I think you're out of the woods!
[Unless you drink your coffee in the woods!]
