Start NOW...

ugh...never again will I take my colorado home for granted...I can't wait to get back to my gym and my warm, bright, sidewalked neighborhood.
anywhoozle, we are enjoying our trip here. Had a good day food and exercise wise..not much to say.
Other than this..
I have enough relatives with health issues...
Taking good care of yourself is imperative.
Take good care of your body, and it will take good care of you.
Neglect it, feed it poorly, drink...smoke...
It will boomerang in your later years.
I can't say this enough.
It makes me more determined than ever to be good with my eating and exercising.
Today is not too late to start.
I feel 10 times better than I did one year ago..
Who knows, maybe in another year i will feel ten times better than I do now.
I f you don't change you will never feel  better.
No food is worth heart failure, diabetes, back pain and chronic fatigue.
No food is worth the pain of watching your family worry because your heart is failing.
Or being unable to walk or climb because you are too tired to move.
It's not worth wasting one more minute of your life for a french fry.
Or a hamburger, or a piece of pie.
Live fully.
Start NOW.
Do it NOW.
The clock is ticking.
Hugs,
Chris

AMEN sistah! I've watched most of my family succumb to either cigarette-induced illnesses or obesity-induced illnesses. I'm 10 years away from the age my mother died of Lung Cancer and part of me is wondering if I'm getting my butt in gear in time. All I know is that if I DO happen to get sick because of my years of obesity (cancer, etc) I will be better able to kick its ass if I'm thinner and healthier!! Hugs xx

I could not agree more. I wish one of my family members would hear this. There is no magic pill. You have to do it.

I'm glad you chose to make your own way.

It's sad seeing family members destroy their health especially when we've chosen to make the necessary changes.

You never know when just by seeing you and your example something will click for others. keep up your good work .... as if I need to tell you that.

Enjoy the remainder of your holiday.

Thanks for your thoughts, I am adopting the same philosophy, bit by bit.

I hear you Chris. I feel the exact way as you do. However, I fell off the wagon and had a slice of cake. Urgh... it is so not worth it. Really guys... health has to be our priority. That we lose weight in the process is the icing on the cake... urgh... see? I even speak cake.

Wish I could take it back. I can't but I'm gonna keep fighting the good fight. Sorry for the long confessional here.

You're awesome Chris. Thank you for the prayers for my sister. I shared that with her and she was so thankful.

Excellent advice and can never be shared too many times. Drill it in, girlfriend. We all need to remember this DAILY. Thanks.

I feel like this message has finally sunk into my thick head. I wish it had about 15 years ago....No sense in whining about that now though, right?

I have a new neighbor lady who looks to be either in her 50's or 60's. She has early onset of emphysema.

Every day that I see her I say a small thank you to the universe for helping me change my ways.

I miss Chris. I love your nightly blog posts. I sit and wait for them. I'm a dork.

Well, I read this after pigging out on an all you can eat buffet breakfast and now sitting next to a brownie and two pieces of fudge.

Some days are easier than others...

But you are right, you just got to see long term in the fight. I don't think people are good at that as much now a days, with the instant food at drivethroughs and microwaves and credit cards... we want it all *now*. Even countries like the USA are spending way more than they have and I wonder if enough people are thinking about the long term concequences.

Enough rambling for now, but rambling is the Fooolsfitness way!- Alan
