Why do I want to do this? And How sure am I of my success...

I want to lose the rest of this weight because I have come too far not to finish..It would be like getting 10 foot from the finish line and stopping, sitting down and saying "Well, that's it...I've done enough."
I would never forget that I quit.
When I first started I did it because my body felt like a prison.
It hurt,
all the time.
I never left my house, I never participated in anything new..
I was living half a life.
I was existing.
Do I think I will succeed.
Yes.
I know I will succeed.
100 percent.
Because I know what the power of will can do.
I know what the power of God can do.
At any moment we can say "Now."
And do it.
I have done that.
Nothing succeeds like success..
so if you aren't sure...
Just know that in every moment you choose.
You choose to win.
Don't turn your mind off...or let your mind tell you that you can't.
Or that you aren't worth it.
If you SET your mind.
You can. You will.
Today could have thrown me off.
I had a car accident.
If you know anything about the last few months you will know it's been hard on the financial front.
I won't be getting it fixed anytime soon.
And after I got done getting the car towed...
I went to a meeting, then I went to the gym
I have only had 880 calories so I need to eat something.
The accident took forever and I ended up eating a granola bar for lunch (It was in my glove compartment) and then an orange later...
I will have to eat something to get me over 1200...
I never fall below.
But It didn't undercut me..
I am still going.
Have a great day..
remember...stay  on track...keep that steel curtain UP.
Hugs,
Chris
ps. I was talking to insurance so I will have a list of contestants up tomorrow...

This is one reason I decided to do your challenge. You're one of the most strong-willed people I've ever encountered, and it inspires me to no end. After the car wreck, on top of the financial stress, you're at the gym...and I probably would have been face down in a cheesecake. :) So glad I joined you in this.

No you won't be....because that would make you feel worse. You can do this..I know you can.

You will make it, Chris--you're a strong person. Glad to be on this road with you.

Oh Chris that is awful. Glad to hear you were still strong enough to go to the gym.

You don't say what kind of accident but do be prepared for a possible reaction like delayed shock. You don't work through shock, no matter what they tell you in the army or you tell yourself.

You need to take a little time to rest and recover. That can still include the gym if you can get there without your car.

This is going to be a huge complication for you. I hope insurance are helpful.

Blessings.

Amazing how things get thrown at us just when we think we couldn't possibly handle anything else. And then when we do, yay for us! It's fun to spite fate and just keep rollin'. Good for you. I too KNOW that you will do this.

hope the damage is not too much.. and it's a super effort that you stayed on track.
I know you can do it, as much as I know I can. And I'm 100% sure I will. Go for Gold Chris..It's the Olympic year anyway!! :)

That is what winners are made of - when the wheels come off (literally or figuratively), they keep going. You're my hero. I'm grateful you're all right and still going strong.

I am on a weight loss journey too. Or I should say, again. This time, the mindset is right. I'm in a challenge which I have found helps a lot. Anyway, Robin sent me over here because I am trying to start a running program. It seems that most of them will have me running a 5k in 9 weeks. Right. I am searching for a plan that starts slow (I am a walker and have been for two years) and combines walking with the running. And I have until Thanksgiving for my 5K so I am not in a hurry. I don't want to rush and get frustrated but I also don't want to get bored. I thought about taking one plan I found and turning their DAYS into WEEKS...you know Day 1 will be my Week 1 (three days/week) and Day 2 would be my Week 2. Any suggestions you might have would be very appreciated! Thanks!

Chris, I am so glad you weren't seriously hurt in your accident. The fact that you are still blogging and moving forward with your Challenge shows just how amazing you are. I am awed. Truly. Sometimes I don't know how you do it. I am still having a tough time functioning but that is beside the point. I sent a blogging buddy of mine over here because she is having a tough time (Empty Nester) - she posted above me. If you wouldn't mind checking out her most recent post, I would appreciate it. If you have a helpful suggestion that would be awesome. It really isn't my area and you have the best advice of anyone I know in this department. Thanks a million!!!

When you do a challenge to help people clean out their coops that has nothing to do with weight loss, I'm in!

I'm glad you are ok!! That's so great how you held it together. I need to keep some kind of bar or snack in my glove compartment or purse for times when things do not go my way. You have been a huge inspiration for me and I'm thrilled to be in your challenge!
