coincidence???!!!

hmmmm.

my head cold has morphed into a chest cold. After trying to ignore it for a few days..I think it has finally caught up with me.
Of course, having nothing i HAVE to do the next week or so, sometimes I think our bodies say "Hey, good time to get some rest..but the only way she's going to down is if we put her down..Hence the illness.
This is reason number one why I need to reinstate a rest day.
The world will not collapse if I, Christina Oursler, do not do something PRODUCTIVE four days out of the month.
I don't know why I have such a hard time with this concept.
They did a study...They had people dig ditches.  One group they made work for an hour straight.
The other group got rests in intervals over the course of an hour.
The ones with intermittent resting did more work than the ones that dug straight through.
Today I am going to let my body rest up. Usually if i get sick I think I have to make up the time I took "off" on saturday, but I am not going to do that this time.
I am going to take my rest day on Saturday, and every saturday thereafter.
Time will not stop, the world will not be thrown off it's axis, puppies will not die horrible deaths in unknown countries.
I will see you all tomorrow.
I have a feeling tomorrow morning this whole cold thing should have gotten much better...
or I will be going to see a doctor.
One or the other.
Have a great night.

Do you remember me telling you "TAKE A DAY OFF"
You need to rest every once in a while!!!
Sorry your feeling so crummy! Hope it gets better soon!
I think your right, your body decided that in order for you to take a few days off you would have to be sick.

Get a hot bath, a few naps and just don't do anything for the next day or two!!!
The house will still be standing, maybe and the chores can wait.

Let me know if you need something.

Hope you feel better soon.

Almost everytime I took a vacation from my high stress job I would get sick. It seemed like my body knew it could shut down then.

I hope you wake up feeling better and well rested. Take good care of yourself.

And no digging ditches, either!
Rest well, friend.

Get better! I've found implementing intervals of rest hard, too. But, it does help me produce a better product.

Aw, sorry you're feeling bad, Chris. Yep, we all need that resting time, whatever is suitable for each of us individually.

As I've been sick for a whole month and just getting better now, I can't stress enough that you need to REST. No matter what happens, you'll be able to fix it once you're well. Feel better soon!

Rest is good for the body. You must rest -- even if that means only doing 1 mile instead of 4 miles. Rest is necessary.

YES, DEFINITELY LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. Get the much needed rest that you need. It's okay to take a few days for resting. The chest thingie is just awful so please get some rest. Drink lots of fluid, lemon and honey and maybe you can do some reading while resting.

I hope you feel better real soon. But don't rush it.

Taking rest days is one of the harder lessons I've had to learn since I started "gettin' fit etc". I totally agree that your body rebels against you and takes you out for the count once there is nothing serious on your horizon. It lets you carry on because you have to but that's about it!

Hope you're feeling better soon.
