@ julie, it's a jumpsuit..it's a jack lalanne thing. He is also wearing ballet slippers.

@ ali, I started watching jack after I caught an interview with him at 96 years old. He looks awesome. I thought..I need to look him up and then found all these videos. he is too cool.

"he was grotesque... almost an imbecile... hardly a human being..."

I love Jack LaLanne, but sheesh, that made me defensive! But I know what he was trying to say, and I agree.

I suppose it's because so much of the world uses terms like that in a way meant to HURT, that I cringed when he said that.

But at least with Jack, I know the intention of his heart is not to hurt, but to help.

So, thanks General Jack.

Interesting point when he said he was an imbecile. I think the point he was making is that the whole thing is mental. Every battle we face is mental. Losing weight to getting a job to keeping our relationships healthy to our hobbies and even our health and wellness. I know that I lost my health because of chronic stress, which was completely a mental battle. However, it did physical damage to my body, and now it is all about getting that turned around. The key is being aware of your daily choices. I think that we get healthier as our choices improve. Thanks for the video. Very inspirational.

I enjoyed this post so much. I was a little girl when I first watched Jack. I'd do jumping jacks with him everyday. Of course, I don't remember much of what he said, but it's interesting to see that "back then" he knew what he was talking about!

Thanks for reminding of Jack.
